A meeting were scheduled between Bob Arum ( Pacquiao's promoter) and Richard Schaefer ( Hatton's promoter) for a negotiation for Pacquiao - Hatton fight this coming year 2009.

Schaefer aggressively offers big bucks for Bob Arum ( the owner of Top Rank, Inc.). According to Schaefer, if ever Pacquiao - Hatton will happen this coming year, they will make it sure that the fight will be at 140lbs.

Hatton, considered as the best fighter at his division (140) , is willing to place his IBF title on the line for a fight with Pacquiao. He recently win over an IBF champion Paul Malignaggi New York.

If Freddy Roach will be ask or decide, Who among Floyd Mayweather or Ricky Hatton will they choose to fight, Freddy says:
Hatton is the best fighter out there for us right now, money wise, style wise. He is a hard guy. He likes to fight It would be a very interesting fight. I think, the world would love to see that and Manny has been always wants to give the world what they want... A lot depends on what makes sense. The economy is bad right now and we cant wait too long because I want to see Manny fight Hatton and Mayweather and retire the greatest fighter of all time. Feddy discussed..

Meanwhile an interview with Hatton after the "Dream Match"... Hatton says: I was so surprised, Manny Pacquiao is a world wide phenomenon. ( Hatton really looks surprised and or nervous)..

Another interview with Juan Manuel Marquez... Marquez says: I still want to fight Manny Pacquiao. If Bob Arum and wants us to fight at 147, and thats what they demand is, lets do it. I will go at 147 just to fight Manny Pacquiao... Then Marquez send the message to Manny Pacquiao saying: " Manny Pacquiao! We will fight again! You have to face me!"
